Chanel Spring 2016 Couture

I don't know what it is about Chanel, but all of their pieces just ooze sophistication, elegance and classiness. They epitomise Parisian fashion and prove how out-there designs can still be wearable when paired with the right things. Their Spring Couture collection sees neutrals take centre-stage which is something that will appeal and look good on almost everyone. Their classic box jacket style shone through alongside the tweeded pattern that we all know and love and associate with Chanel.
Lagerfeld introduced some amazing embellishment to some of the pieces. There was also fringing, lace, flares and florals - all very pretty, all very feminine. I love the intricate detailing on the clothes, it demonstrates how fashion is an art form and attention to detail is second to none.
Accessories were kept simple with cork soled shoes, a common theme throughout. The womanly silhouettes added to the elegance. Fringing and styles replicated that of the 1920s - yet again an era full of femininity and sophistication  with fun and entertainment (which is where we see the embellishment coming through).

My MAC Lipstick Collection

Hello everyone! Here is a post that I've been meaning to do for a while now but I just haven't got round to doing it.
My MAC Lipstick Collection. I love MAC lipsticks for the formula, shade range, and of course the elegant packaging. I've been growing my collection for over a year now and plan to get many more shades in the future.
It's not hard to tell that I have a soft spot for nudes, so any suggestions - be it nudes or brights - pop them in the comments below. I'd love to know what your favourite shade is!

Name: Myth
Formula: Satin
Comments: Great for creating the ombre lip look

Name: Honey-Love
Formula: Matte
Comments: One of my favourite nude lipsticks, love to pair with Spice lipliner

Name: Half N' Half
Formula: Amplified
Comments: Love the formula, not drying at all. My first lipstick from MAC and still one of my favourites.

Name: Velvet Teddy
Formula: Matte
Comments: Cult favourite. A shade darker than Honey-Love and one of my new favourite nudes.

Name: Mehr
Formula: Matte
Comment: I love this colour as it has a deep pink tone to it. Great if you want to get into darker colours without taking the plunge straight away.

Name: Hot Gossip
Formula: Creamsheen
Comment: Perfect everyday colour and because of the formula, makes it extremely easy to wear.

Name: Please Me
Formula: Matte
Comment: Ideal pinky-nude colour which I love for spring and summer

Name: Giddy
Formula: Lustre
Comment: Yet another everyday colour which is hydrating and easy to reapply. It doesn't take much thought.

Name: Candy Yum-Yum
Formula: Matte
Comment: An extremely out there colour which I manipulate using lip liners and gloss to make it more wearable. So fun.

Name: Rebel
Formula: Satin
Comment: Long wearing and becomes an almost stain on the lips. An amazing colour which looks different on everyone.

Name: Ruby Woo
Formula: Retro Matte
Comment: That classic red lip. Very drying so I usually wear Vaseline underneath, still a beautiful colour nonetheless.

Balmain Fall 2016 Ready-To-Wear

The Balmain show at Paris Fashion Week was dripping with supermodels in lace, fur and embroidery. The likes of Kendall Jenner, Jordan Dunn, Karlie Kloss and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley were walking in the outfits which mainly consisted of pastel pinks and blues. In true Balmain style there was structured silhouettes with gorgeous detailing all over them. Fur creeped onto the scene alongside amazing lace prints.
Front row sat Kris Jenner alongside Kanye West as Kendall did her best Kim impression with a blonde wig.
Olivier Rousteing said "Curves are really important today, because the women of today are really curvy, and they're an inspiration, like hip-hop stars, reality stars."
Cinched waists and rounded derrieres were the highlight of the show; the use of spring colours in the fall is proving something to look out for.

My Style: Lace and Flares

I've recently had my room done, hence the fact I haven't completed any outfit posts since 2015. Now, hopefully with my more neutral background and my dad's photography skills, I can improve the quality of "My Style" posts.
Also as a quick disclaimer, my blog posts may be up in a random pattern as I have my exams in the summer and I am currently using every waking moment revising! So I will upload when I can. I hope everyone's good and thank you for viewing my blog :).
